Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. Ordered to be reported with an amendment in the nature of a substitute favorably.
This bill requires social media platforms and anonymous content-sharing sites to show a mental health warning label every time someone logs on or opens the app, similar to warning labels on cigarettes. Users must either dismiss the warning or it stays on screen, and it pops up again every hour. If this passes, every time you open a social media app in the United States, you will see a health warning before you can scroll.
