This bill requires the federal government to publish a yearly report listing all taxpayer-funded projects that are either more than 5 years behind schedule or at least $1 billion over budget. The report must explain why each project is late or over budget and must be posted online for the public to see. If this passes, Americans would get a single, easy-to-find list of the government's most troubled and expensive projects every year.
Every year, the federal government spends billions on projects that blow past their budgets or deadlines , and right now, there's no single place where the public can see which ones are failing. This bill would create an annual online scorecard of the government's worst-performing projects, giving taxpayers a clearer picture of how their money is being spent.
