Received in the Senate.
This bill officially labels the Churchill Museum at Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri, as a National Historic Landmark. It also tells the Department of the Interior to study whether the site should become part of the National Park System. If this passes, the museum gets a formal federal designation and could eventually receive more federal support, but the bill does not force the property owners to do anything differently.
If the Churchill Museum eventually joins the National Park System, it could mean more federal dollars flowing into a small Missouri town , boosting local jobs and tourism while adding a new line item to the federal budget that all taxpayers share.
